The Smart In-Wall Mini Switch is a compact relay module designed to be hidden inside an existing light switch box or electrical canopy. It is intended to transform any standard, non-smart mechanical light switch into a smart, connected device, without requiring you to change the appearance of your existing wall plates.
Step by step working process
Installation and wiring: The mini switch is wired parallel to the mechanical switch inside the wall box. It connects to the main power lines and loads (lights), and a separate set of wires connects to the physical wall switch inputs.
Input registration:

Manual control: When the user physically flicks their regular, non-smart wall switch, the state changes (e.g., from on to off). This sends a low-voltage trigger signal to the external input terminals of the mini switch.

Remote/Voice Control: A command from a smartphone app (such as Smart Life, Shelly Cloud, etc.) or a voice assistant goes to the Wi-Fi module of the mini switch via the cloud.
Signal Processing: The MCU receives the command, whether from the physical switch or the Wi-Fi module.
Circuit Control: The MCU sends a signal to the internal relay mechanism. The relay physically opens or closes the main, high-voltage electrical circuit in the connected light, turning it on or off.
Status Sync: The module instantly reports its new power state to the app via the Wi-Fi module, ensuring that the user always knows whether the light is on or off, regardless of how it was switched.
