Smart Wall Socket – 13A USB / C-Type

A Smart Wall Socket – 13A USB/C-Type is an electrical wall socket that connects to Wi-Fi. It includes a standard 13A power outlet, a USB-A port, and a USB-C port. Which often supports fast charging. It allows you to control appliances remotely via a smartphone app Tuya and Smart Life. You can set schedules and use voice commands with assistants like Alexa or Google Assistant.

Key features

  • Remote control: You can turn connected appliances on or off from anywhere using a smartphone app like Tuya and Smart Life.

  • Voice control: It is compatible with smart home systems like Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant, allowing for voice-activated control.

  • Integrated charging: In addition to the 13A outlet, it has both a standard USB-A and a USB-C port for charging devices directly without a separate adapter.

  • Smart scheduling: You can set timers and schedules to automate power to devices. Which can help save energy.

  • Safety features: Many models include child safety doors and are made from flame-retardant materials.

  • Power monitoring: Some versions have a power statistics function. It allows you to track energy usage.

  • Wi-Fi connectivity: It connects directly to a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network. So typically no additional hub is required.

Work Process Of Smart Wall Socket – 13A USB / C-Type

A smart wall socket with 13A, USB-A, and C-Type ports integrates traditional electrical outlets with smart technology and a built-in power supply unit to provide remote control and versatile charging options.

Step-by-step working process

Command reception: The command to turn the socket on or off is sent via a smartphone app (such as Tuya Smart, Smart Life, etc.) or voice assistant. This signal is sent over the Internet to the home router and then to the socket's Wi-Fi module.

Signal processing: The Wi-Fi module sends the command to the MCU. The MCU determines whether the command is for a specific 13A outlet, USB ports, or the entire unit (many models allow independent control via the app).

Power Control (13A Outlets): If the command is for a 13A outlet, the MCU activates the corresponding relay mechanism to either complete or break the circuit, powering or disconnecting the devices plugged into that outlet.

Power Control (USB Ports): The USB ports are continuously powered by the internal PSU. This means that the power to these ports cannot be changed like the 13A outlets. They can be controlled separately via the app/manual button depending on the model. The charging circuitry manages the power delivery to intelligently charge the connected devices.

Status Feedback: The status of the outlets (on/off) is tracked by the MCU and sent back to the app in real time. This provides the user with peace of mind and the ability to check on the devices remotely.
